Alice,

Very interesting. What else do you know about Alice? Any brothers/sisters, etc.? What years was she in which county? Any specific census page numbers you can give me? How sure are you of the spelling on the last name? My Riley's name was consistently spelled Mattox (though I guess it's hard to be sure). I'm intrigued by the possibility that Alice might be a sister to my Riley. They would have been born w/n a year or so of each other, Coweta and Carroll counties border, and Randolph and Calhoun counties border. So maybe there's a family migration path here. Here's my family tree on rootsweb. I've just put it up.
