Linda, I have no info on a Christopher Mattox but I am wondering if he could be a brother of Elijah? The only name I have for a brother is Tobias. I have seen referenced that there were 7 of them altogether. An excerpt from the "History of Clermont Co., OH, 1880" says that Elijah Mattox, Sr. came from Virginia to Kentucky and then onto Ohio where in 1810 he settled a mile and a half from Pleaseant Hill. He was one of 7 brothers who settled in Clermont, the others locating elsewhere in Ohio and Indiana.

If you find out anything please let me know. The search for Elijah's parents continues........
