Cool! no, I had not seen his death cert; very odd--there was a murder trial scheduled for about March of 1933; I have found no info on how that came out, but what I did see did not look very good for him.So far as I have been able to find, the local San Antonio papers dropped the story after the announcement of the trial, so maybe it was very anticlimactic or the case was dismissed without trial.Obviously, if he died of epilepsy at home, he wasn't convicted. Are you related? Are you in Texas and able to access any court records?
I also have been unable to find any record of Maude's death, no certificate or burial record, other than what is stated in the newspapers around the first week of January 1932.Says she was taken to her old home town can't remember the town name at the moment and I'm not at my own computer where I could look it up)for burial, but have seen no record of it in official death record lists for Texas at all.Her maiden name was Eason, I think.
