Hi Kathy. I sent you an email, but thought I would post here too. I didn't know there was Cherokee in my husband's family. I have a great deal on my side. If there is, it would have to come from Jane, Drury Mathews wife. The Mathews go back to England, at least the 1500's. Email me direct, and I can give you the entire Mathews history. For now, it goes;Samuel>Samuel>John>Samuel>Mary(she married Isaac Mathews, s/o Thomas and Elizabeth, another line)>Isaac Edward>Lewis>Drury>Shugar Jones Mathews>Josephine. My husband's line comes from Shugar's brother Moses. I can supply dates and spouses and children for all, if you would like. I hope this helps. Maura Garrett
