William Matthes and Jeannette Satler were born Prussia;to US abt 1854.Dau.Amelia born NY abt 1855. Son Otto L. born Ill. 1867. Wm/Jeannette moved to Winterset IA 1868 then in 1890s to Bellingham WA. Amelia marr Squire G. Bevington; Otto marr Emma Byer. Jeannette's Germ. given name Ganethia. Her grandmother = Josephine Rhump. No record W and J had siblings in US.Do not know their original location in Prussia.Unable find names in ship lists. Were probably naturalized in Ill.
