I am looking for information about the family of William Christian Matthes, 1865-1911. He was the 1st husband of my great grandmother Ellen May Degginger, 1867-1945, of Defiance, OH.
Ellen Deginger later married Robert Sanford Rothe who worked for the Metropolitan Life Insurance co. in Newark, NJ. He later retired to an apple farm in Hardwick, NJ.
