On the manuscript I have on Wakeman Phillip Matteson it says he died 1866 Nashville, TN; I checked the Civil War Pension Index and find that his widow, Laura J. Matteson filed for widows pension on 19 Nov 1864 and a 'minor' John B. Hills 'grandson' filed 16 April 1868.

I find that Laura J. had married 2nd by 1870 census, John B. Hills b. 1813 NY [John B. and his wife Esther liv 1850 Jefferson Co., NY - Wakeman & Laura J. also liv 1850 Jefferson Co., NY with 'daug' no name - 3/12 yrs]
John B. Hills & Laura J. liv 1870 census in Perry Twp., Lake Co., OH. Wallace "Mateson" age 18 b. OH was in house.
