Rbeda:

You are the family DNA lead person. As such I am sure you know that only a few people who have submitted DNA to our family group were not connected.

The biggest problem here is that not enough people have gone further to test at higher markers. Most have tested at the 12 marker test which is the basic test. Those people now know for sure they are in our family. But, we can't start to even look at who matches who until people start going for the higher marker tests. Even then, there is no guarantee that there will be a clear cut path to the ancestor.

The only way to know for sure if one of us is related directly to another is if we have DNA material from the ancestor to compare against one of us now living.

PLease do NOT get me wrong! I am all for going as far as a person can on the marker tests. The more people we get at higher levels the better. If the economy was better right now I think many more would go to the next levels.

Hang in there and keep asking everyone who has already done the basic DNA to keep moving up to the next marker. I think if we get enough 67's we will see the lines emerging.

Marge
