I have most of the Mattes Family history. Email me re: what you would like to see. newlou2008(at)hotmail.com
Here is what I have for Emma:

Emma "Babe" C. Mattes (Davidson)
b. 10/13/1899
m. Rev. Ross Davidson b. 1897 in IL
Emma is listed in the 1900 and 1910 census as living in Sharon, Fayette Co. IL with her father Edwin Paul and mother, Lura Ellen Lawler
She is listed in 1920 census as being 23 and living in Bingham, Fayette Co., IL with her husband Ross and Helen, 4years old.
In 1930 she was listed as living in Vandalia, Fayette Co., IL with Ross, Helen age 10, Hazel age 8 and Thelma Walker.

Her Two daughters are:
1. Helen Caroline Davidson
b. 8/20/1919 in Hurricane township
d. 1953 buried in Fairlawn cemetery, Vandalia, IL

2. Hazel Davidson b. 1922 (St. Petersburg, Fla.)
I just got a pop up hint on my ancestry page that a Hazel R. Davidson is listed on a death certificate.
Hazel R. Davidson living in Ruskin Fla died 3 Feb 2007...I can't determine if this is our Hazel or not. Do you know?

I have no records of either Helen or Hazel being married.

Hope this helps.
