Hi Joseph
I don't have a lot of information on the Matte family. I am related to Elie L. Matte born near Quebec City about 1828. He married Anne Benoit (Benois). They had ten children and the oldest being my g-g-grandmother. The 10 children were all born either in Chapeau or Chichester, Quebec.
