Mike,
I've recently found out some interesting facts about the Matranga's. Supposedly they originally traveled
from Albania in the mid 1500's to northern Sicily. They were, along with others, fleeing Albania because the
government, which at the time was Turkish, was making everyone become Muslim. The group of Albanians that
traveled to northern Sicily are known as Arberesh. The website is: arberesh@leaptoad.com
