I have always seem to be the only Matos that is Cuban that I meet. If any one has any information about the Matos familiy in Cuba or any information on the origin of the last name please write me at Tstopr14@aol.com. All I have found out is that it is probably Portuguse and in the Time of Christopher Columbus they can over and spread out among S. American and the Caribean
