I've recently found out that my father Richard W. Matlaack Sr. was related directly to Jon Matlack the famous Pitcher. I've traced this back and found a relation to Col. Matlack. I'm still looking for any family in between to figure out how I"m related to Jon as this would help my research a lot. It seems my father Richard Matlack Sr. was adopted, but his real name was Matlack. So he would never tell me Jon's relation, but that he was related.
If anyone has any information to help with this, I would be more than appreciated. I do know if you find my father, he will be buried at the foot of Rose Laptosh in New Jersey somewhere..
