John Matlack, was born ca 1711 in Waterford, New Jersey, the 3rd child of John and Hannah Horner Matlack. They were Quakers.
In 1736 he married Hannah Shivers, daughter of John and Sarah Shivers and settled in Waterford.
He died ca 1774 in Haddonfield. His will dated May 24, 1774 was probated March 22, 1775, mentions daughters Hannah (yes both same), Sarah and Amy and children of deceased daughter Anna.
a. Anna married John Lippincott
b. Hannah married Edward Gibbs
c. Amy married William Ellis, Jr.
d. Sarah married John Middleton
