Dear Friends and relations..
For those of you who have not had a chance to check in yet below is a link for the DNA testing that has come in so far. It would appear that as we had suspected some of the Medlock's of South Carolina and Matlock's of Virginia are indeed related on 25 of 25 markers. Several of the others are 24 for 25 and that is close enough... I would appeal to all of the Males descendants bearing the surnames Matlock, Medlock, Matlack, or Matlick to give up something for Christmas and get the testing done and post the results. I would also appeal to African Americans of the surname to also get the testing done and posted. With information prior to 1870 being so difficult to come by this would seem to be a source not to be overlooked.
