A correction to my previous post.
The birth date of Rebecca Matlack, daughter of John Matlack and Julia Ann Lippincott, 2-19-1827, was difficult to read, particularly the 9 in the day of the month. The date of her death, 4-18-1884 was clear.
A later entry on the same page recorded Rebecca's death. In this entry her date of birth is 2 Mo. 18, 1827. However her date of death was now recorded as 1st mo. 18, 1884.
At this point I can't explain the inconsistencies in the various entries in the record. Based on information I already had on people mentioned in the two entries I cited as well as other entries in the document, I believe the information is basically correct but that the specific dates need to be used with some caution. Either mistakes were made when the information was first recorded in the records of the Chester, now Moorestown, Friends Meeting, or errors were made in transcribing these records.
