Mary Ann
I have in my files, Daniel Mathis born 12 Sept.1797, in Kentucky, s/o Martin Mathis and Nancy Walker. After Nancy died Martin married Elizabeth Hooper in 1809. I am from the line of his second wife, Elizabeth. Martin also had a brother named Daniel, born about 1772 in Va. and died about 1810 in Union Co., Kentucky.
Daniel <brother of Martin> born in 1772, named one of his sons MARTIN after his brother, and Martin, <brother of Daniel> also named a son after his brother Daniel.
If this information is of use, I do have a little more on Daniel. I do know that some of the children of Martin Mathis Sr. and Daniel Mathis Sr., went to OHIO.
Helen in Texas
