Have any of you seen the book "Mathiots in France and America" by Mary Ellen Gebhart and Anne Virginia Briggs? They were cousins of my great-grandfather, Edward Shallenberger Mathiot. I am descended from Jean Jacques Mathiot who came from France in 1754 (George-2, George Frederick-3, George Henry-4, Edward Shallenberger-5, Caroline Wilmot-6, Merrill Cramer-7). I have photocopies of the book that I would be happy to share. Cassandra Mathiot is listed in the book as daughter of George and Ruth Davies Mathiot, born 28 Apr 1803, married Henry Detwiler, died in childbirth of Eliza Cassandra Detwiler on 1 Jan 1834.
