My great grandfather and his brother sailed from Lehavre, France arriving in New York, New York August 17, 1849 on the ship, "Sarah Sheafe". His name was Francis or Francois and brother was Louis Mathias. Francis was 29 years old and Louis 20 years old.Do these men match anyone in your database? Louis was killed in the Civil War and left a wife and 2 boys. Francis survived the Civil War after being injured. Moved from New York to Kansas and then on to Colorado.
