I have many MATHIAS/MASSIAS family members 1600 - 1900 in Normandie, France. While none of my relatives emigrated to the U.S., there were numerous children who are not accounted for after birth, so some may have went nearby to LeHavre to sail for the US. If you manage to track any family members to this period let me know, name, birth, whatever you have. My family lived in Pitres, Eure, Normandie for 11 generations.
