Glad to hear from you. I will be glad to give you more information. My ggrandfather was John Joseph Mathias. My grandfather was Arthur Eugene Mathias.
Marie Kieffer Mathias, the mother of John Joseph Mathias is buried in the Mt. Olive Cemetery according to my records. Her headstone reads "Maria, Mother of John, Nicholas and Thomas." On John Joseph Mathias' headstone which does have a locomotive on it and is in the Mt. Olive Cemetery, on the right side should read the following "Maria, wife of John Mathias, b. Jan. 19, 1811, d. June 21, 1879, a native of Guntersblum, Mosselle, Lorraine." This John Mathias was originally Jean Mathis. John (Jean) and Maria would be my gggrandparents.
I don't know how close the Mt. Olive Cemetery is to you or Kathleen but if you do find it and the headstones, I would definitely like to have a photograph of them.
Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I will be glad to give you all the information I have regarding this family line.
Thanks again and it is good to hear from another cousin.
