I have some information on a Mary E. Mathews (b.1837), who married a Henry Thompson (b.1833), in New Hope, PA. A possible pair of sisters marrying a pair of brothers? Would not be the first in this family.

Mary's father was Jonathan Mathews (b.1806'ish), and Mary's granddaughter had once recalled Mary's mother's name as "Phebe", but could not remember the maiden name.

I have Richard Mathews (b.1773) and Phoebe Wright (b.1783) listed possible parents of Mary E. Mathews, but have not yet confirmed either to be correct. I suspect if it is correct, Mary's granddaughter was mitakenly putting Phoebe in the wrong generation, with Jonathan instead of Richard.

I would be interested in any other information you have on this family, if this appears to be a match.
