I am looking for my Great Grandfather William Frederick Mathews born 1863c at St Day (near Redruth) - he states on his marriage certificate that his parents are John Mathews and Anne / Ann / Annie DORDGE. He told my grandmother that his family emigrated to the US when he was 6 years old. He met and married my great grandmother in Charters Towers Queensland Australia. William was a Miner and died in 1912 at Charters Towers Queensland Australia. Am looking for any information on this man, perhaps he wasn't very truthful, I cannot find for myself, his birth, His mother's and Fathers names. Hoping a relative sees this message as I do not know what else to do, My grandmother Ivy Mathews had siblings, so if there are anyone out there who may know this family, please contact me.
