I am a mathers from Aberdeenshire, my fathers was Joseph Mathers born March 1st 1901 Ellon Aberdeenshire my grandfather was Charles Wallace Mathers { sometimes spelt Maders ] born New Pitsligo 1850 -1852 Aberdeenshire, Gt grandfather Alexander born Peterhead and he was a blacksmith.
Do any of these name or places mean anything to you?
