Susanna Sullivan(t) Matherly was the daughter of Clement Sullivan(t) and the widow of Abisha Matherly, son of Israel Matherly. Israel was the "patriarch" of my Deep Creek Matherlys in Mercer Co., KY. The Abner H. that you mentioned as being in one of the other records is Abisha's brother.

Abisha and Susanna were married on 25-JAN-1814 in Mercer Co., KY. Abisha died in FEB-1829 in Decatur Co, IN. This couple had at least 7 children: Woodford, Monford, Sally, John, Nancy, Isham, and Elizabeth.

When Abner H. died in 1834 or 1835 in Mercer Co., Nancy, his widow, took their two known sons, William Jefferson and John Henry, back to Decatur Co., IN. She later married Brinsley Barnes there and they eventually moved to Buchanan Co., MO.

Many of the early Vigo Co., IN, Matherlys are descendants of Lemuel J. Matherly Sr. He was yet another son of Israel, probably his oldest. There are other lines there, as well, all with ties to Israel.
