Samuel Mathery (sic) was War of 1812 messmate of James Dailey. Proof: Pension of Elizabeth (nee Clinton) Dailey, wid of James who enlisted Green co, TN in E. TN Militia Nov 1813 and discharged May 1814 in Kingston, TN. He apparently signed statement on her behalf (not in pension file, but referred to) possibly for pension app ca 1878, or BLW ca 1855 when she was in Smyth co, VA. Researching Dailey, would like to know 'footprints' of Mathery.
