There is a Marrige Bond issued in Mercer Co., Ky 13 Dec 1860 "Mr T ALLEN please let Green MATHERLY have a licen to marry Mary C DREWRY and it will be rite with me." /s/ William DREWRY.
There is also the following:
"Mr Thos. ALLIN you are at liberty to issue licens to solmnize the write of marrige between my son Banister G MATHERLY and Mary C DREURY this Dec 14th 1860." /s/ B C MATHERLY. and attested by /s/ J J MATHERLY.
On 14 Dec 1860 BANISTER, G (his x mark) and William H WHITEHEAD gave 4100 bond to the Commonwealth of Kentucky for the marrige of BANISTER and Mary C DRURY.
