My husband is descended from Daniel Mathaney and Eleanor Bean who married in Westmoreland Co, VA in 1819. Her sister Frances had earlier married Daniel in St. Mary's, MD in 1799. I have verification of both of these marriages. I have some of Frances' children, and most all of Eleanor's. So it seems like the families bounced between the two areas.
I have been told they were both the daughters of Rasin Bean and Caroline Hebb. I have been given a marriage date of 4 Jun 1787 in Westmoreland Co. VA but have not been able to verify any Bean-Hebb marriage around that date in published records.
Does anyone recognize any of these names?
