I have other information that I will have to look up ... but for starters: Moses Matheny can be found in the 1840 census (age 30-40) in West Monongalia County (West) Virginia. Also 1830 census - same county/state. Also very likely same family in Hampshire County (west) Virginia personal property tax list (1800-1814). I look forward to hearing more from you and especially any connection you may think our Matheny families may have. If you think there is a possible connection ... I will be happy to share my information.
