I'm trying to find out more on two lines, plus trying to find where both lines may tie into the same progenitor. Both lines center in Alleghany and Bath counties in Virginia, in the 19th century into the 20th.
1. Joseph H. Matheny m. Sarah E. Crawford
Joseph b. abt 1822; Sarah b. abt 1837
2. Oliver Perry Matheny m. Catherine Jane Brown.
Oliver b. abt 1831; Catherine b. abt 1835
I need ancestors of the two men, plus additional info on their descendant families.
Will happily share what I have, most of which has come from public sources anyway! I found some stuff on the LDS FamSearch site but sourcing was not evident. There are some obvious, minor conflicts in dates, which is another of my goals - to resolve these.
