The 1900 census for District 87, Center, Noble Co., Ohio dated June 18 lists the following
Martin Mathena, head of house, male, white, born November 1845, age 54, married for 36 years, he and his parents born Ohio, farmer, able to read, write and speak English, owns farm free and clear.
Mary A. Mathena, wife, female, white, born October 1841?, age 58, married for 36 years, had 4 children with all still living, born Ohio, parents born Virginia, able to read, write and speak English
Josiah W. Mathena, son, male, white, born January 1881, age 19, single, born Ohio, farm work, able to read, write and speak English
As you can see they had a son Josiah. He is in the 1910 and 1920 census for Center, Noble Co., Ohio with Mary H. his wife. In the 1920 census he has his mother Mary A. living with him as well as two children Edmund Lowell and John Martin Matheny
This indicated that he is the son of Martin L. Matheny & Mary Ann Gorby. The 1850 census for Center, Noble Co., Ohio lists Martins parents as Cyrus Matheny & Lucinda Bayliss.
