Hello, my name is Robert Matheny and I am new to Mygenealogy.com.
I love in Los Angeles and am 59 years old. My father was Robert Louis Matheny, originally from Carrington ND. His father was Andrew Douglas Matheny of Carrington. My father had 2 brothers, James and William Matheny. James was a career Navy Captain and William was a WWII fighter pilot.My father also had a sister, Florence, who lived in Whittier California.
4 years ago I vacationed in France. We visited Mathenay, the town where Daniel Matheny lived. Daniel,according to my research, is the original American Matheny. Mathenay is a dot on the map in Eastern France near Arbois the home of Louis Pasteur.
I would love to hear from any Matheny who think we might be closely related.
