My grandmother was Nellie Matheny (1880-1936) from Vinton Co. Ohio. She was born in the Vinton County Infirmary to Catherine Matheny-Mathena. There was no father listed. Catherine also had a son Joseph. Catherine married a man by the name of Hall and had 2 daughters who lived in the Columbus area. I am stumped as to who my ancestors are. My grandmother also had a child out of wed-lock before marrying my grandfather William Graves. Does anybody have any information to help clear up my mystery?
