Researching - John Jerome Mastin, b. 1830, came to Kansas City, Jackson Co., MO prior to the Civil War and operated the "Mastin Bank" in KCMO. After the Civil War all the surviving brothers moved from Tennessee to KCMO. His brothers include: John Jerome Mastin, Reuben F. Mastin, Thomas Hoyl Mastin, David Clark Mastin and William Wheeler Mastin. Two brothers, JJM and THM, married the "Harris sisters." Several of the brothers and nephews and nieces were prominent in KCMO business and politics. Later Thomas A.J. Mastin was the JACOMO county prosecutor in the early 1900's.
