Researching Thomas Allen Jones Mastin-b 1868 (MO ?), the son of David Clark Mastin b. 1842 (m. Mildred Emerly Lewis). TAJ Mastin was married to Lena Wishkoff. TAJ was the Prosecuting Attorney for Jackson County, MO at the same time that Harry Truman was a rising political force who was his friend. TAJ also ran for Governor for the State of Missouri. TAJ's brothers and sisters included -- Mildred "Minnie" Mastin, David Clark Mastin (who owned the 2,000 acres that later became Swope Park), George Wheeler Mastin, Fannie Brown Mastin and John Jerome Mastin (Jr). All five of his uncles served for the Confederacy in the Civil War. Two uncles, JJM and THM, married the "Harris sisters" in KCMO. Most of the Mastin Family information for the Peter Hoyle genealogy was apparently submitted by the family of Thomas Allen Jones Mastin.
