I can verify that William born in America was the father of 1750 John.
I can also verify that Edward, born 1706, was not the father of William.
i know nothing about Edward born in Ireland in the 1500's, nor do I have any informatiom on Mastersons coming from Scotland.
A large group of Mastersons were in Cheshire Co, England, early on.They were given land to move to Ireland and take I believe it was 100 families with them.I would venture a guess that 2 or more of them then came to America. If these two are closely related, we have no evidence of it.Edward was either the immigrant or the son of one.John who married in 1725, wasmost likely the immigrant. We have not proven a relationship between John and Edward.Yes, Edward did have a John, but not John born 1750.
