James,

Do you have any data on the question of who General Hugh Massey's parents and/or family were? I have a paper written by Ella Bobo in 1904 and interpreted by Cathy Thompson in 1999 in which she states that General Hugh Massey's Great Nephews (Thomas, William, John, and Edward)settled first in Yorktown and then in New Kent and Goochland counties about 1690. I believe that this William is the key to my wife's Massey family in Virginia but I have a gap from him back in time to the General and that is my dilemma.
Thanks,

Harvey
