Hi Larry . . .A very delinquent reply to your 4 Oct 2001 posting:
The information I have was assembled for me by a Fellow of the Aamerican Society of Genealogists, specialist in medieval history, from primary records, the first such research ever undertaken.
The Hamon IV you mention was apparently Hamon III since there is no record of a Hamon, son of Hamon I. There is a son of Hamon I, Simon de Mascy, who apparently died without issue; the second son, and only other known descendant of Hamon I, was Robert (c1080/90–aft 1150) who inherited the estate.
Robert's son Hamon II (c1130/40–1185) married Agatha de Theray, and had sons Hamon III (c1167–1217/25), William, Roger, Robert, Agnes, Sibil, Cecily, and the daughter we were unable to identify by name who married Hugh de Dutton. This could be your Isabelle, or, unfortunately, anyone else. There is documentation in my book, Massey Genealogy 2000, too lengthy to cover here, but I'd be pleased to try to answer any further question you may have via e-mail.Best regards, Bill
