I'm working on the MASSAM family tree for my colleague Dr Michael Massam of Southport.

So far we've worked backwards from him through the following generations

F: Arthur Massam 1909 Southport
GF: Albert Massam 1888 Southport
G GF: Frederick Massam 1860 Southport
GG GF: Thomas Massam 1826/7/8/9 (or thereabouts)
GGG GF: James Massam 1784 Formby
GGGG GF: John Massam 1752 Formby
and possibly GGGGG GF: William Massam 1718 Formby

We'd be interested to hear from any other descendants or relatives in this tree.
Particularly John Massam 1752 m Ann Formby at Formby 1778.

If anybody is looking for photographs of contemporary Formby, such as the church or town, Mike says he's happy to take some snaps.
