Is it possible Alice was previously married? I found a marriage record for a Mrs. Alice F. CHURCHMAN to T.J. LAMB on 29-Aug-1886 in Yell Co, AR. This matches with the 13 yrs of marriage recorded on the 1900 census.
In the 1880 census for Riley, Yell Co, AR there's a James CHURCHMAN, wife Allace and 3 yr old daughter Eley.
