Mason Family of Avon Dassett, Warwickshire & Greater London area
Posted by: Marilyn M. Astle (ID *****9619) Date: March 15, 2012 at 11:35:22
  of 8821

Richard Mason (b abt 1804) and his wife Elizabeth (b abt 1810) had 8 children born about as follows: Emma 1834, Charlotte 1835, Robert 1837, George Valentine 1841, Eliza 1843, William 1845, James 1848 and John Henry 1852. Richardís occupation is given as policeman on Georgeís birth registration; in Avon Dassett he was a labourer. All the children were born in Avon Dassett except for Robert in St Mary Newington, Surrey and George in Kentish Town, St. Pancras, Middlesex.

Charlotte is my ancestor and she married William Henry Blencowe. What happened to the rest of the family? In the 1861 census for Avon Dassett I found Richard and Elizabeth with the 3 youngest boys and after that I canít find anyone but Charlotte. The common name isnít helping my search. I suspect at least some of them immigrated.

Are they in your family tree?
