Thought I would post "cause you never know". Looking for parents of John Mason. Married Deborah Stevens in Christs Church Philadelphia April 6, 1762. Children were Deborah, Philadelphia, and William. Was an upholsterer, and Toll Gate Keeper on Perkiomen and Germantown Turnpike Circa 1803.
There are so many John Masons from Phila it gets confusing however the descendants of this John Mason are well documented in "The Ancestors and Descendants of Joseph Mason and Debby Ann Palmer". I was just hoping to trace this Mason line back farther.
I am a direct descendant of this John Mason. Took the DNA test but did not match to any other Masons. Oral History has this John Mason coming from England. BTW, if anyone is looking for info on Philadelphia/Southern NJ Masons let me know as I have looked at most of the lines trying to tie them in to "my" John Mason so I might have info you could use.
