Am interested in connecting with family descendants of Sylvanus Mason who was living in Wells Co. Indiana who married twice: 1st to Elizabeth Lozena Harrold on Dec 1852 in Wells Co Indiana and 2nd to Marguerite Weaver on 31 Aug 1878.
I have one 'connection by marriage' and would like to share the information that I know and see if there are any old family photos of this son.
His son Lewis McClellan Mason born 1 Dec 1861 in Warren, Wells Co. Indiana d. 25 Feb 1949 at the age of 88--married on 13 Jan 1885 in Wells Co IN Anna M. Poor, the daughter of Thomas C. Poor and his wife Martha Jane (Haynes) Poor from Liberty Twp, Delaware Co. Indiana. Lewis and new wife Anna took off for early Butte City, Montana to live by her mother and sisters who had also moved up there after selling the family farm in Delaware County, Indiana. They took up a new life of 'mining'. Lewis was a miner, later a foreman. I have more information to share. Please email me if you are related to this particular Sylvanus Mason--I see from the exchanges that there were many 'Sylvanus Masons!' I'm only interested in this ONE.
