I would appreciate any information concerning Jesse Mason listed in the 1850 census of Bradley County, Tennessee. Jesse (age: 24) is listed in dwelling # 1612 with his wife Mary L. Mason (age: 22), and son William (age: 2). Tennessee was the stated birthplace of all three.
I believe Jesse was probably the son of Windsor (or Winsor) & Mariah (Lane) Mason (Mariah died sometime in 1830). Windsor is listed 24 dwellings from Jesse, in dwelling #1588, with the wife and children of his second marriage.
Windsor was listed in a couple of early Knox County tax listings (1826 & 1827 tax list of Captain Cliff’s Company) with Jesse Mason and James Mason whom I think are possible relatives. Windsor may possibly be related to William Mason who was listed in Captain Baldwin’s Company, 1828-29 (Windsor was listed in this same company 1830-31).
Any information which would prove or negate a relationship for Jesse Mason being the son of Windsor & Mariah (Lane) Mason would be very helpful
