Ada, After going through this I understand your problem better. Somehow I've made it mine. Here are some factors bearing on the problem. 1. Arithmetic. Backing up from Carrol James and Ada (b. 1895), I don't see how Albion Perley Mason (b. 1826, m. 1848) could have been Ada's gr, gr, grandfather. Gr grandfather might fit though. 2, If the above is true, then a Mason female offspring of Albion and Sarah must have married either a Starbird/Starbard or a Dearborn. 3. Albion and Sarah Mason had six children: George (b. 1849), Mary (b. 1850), Emma L. (b. 1852), Charles (b. 1859), Frank Lloyd (b. 1862), and Etta Adele (b. 1869). Rule out these: George (who m. Sarah Knapp and whose ch. are all accounted for); probably Emma, who m. Charles Parcher with ch. seemingly accounted for; Charles, m. Harriett Bradley and ended up in Lynn; Frank (my grandfather, no ch. in first marriage, but 3 in second, the middle one at age 55, my father, named, get this, Willard Albion Mason), and Etta Adele, who m. Howard Bailey. 4. About Mary: I have zip, other than she was born in 1850. I always assumed she died young. 5. Albion's sons Charles, and Frank (for a while anyway) were eventually in Lynn in the shoe industry. Shoe industry, Turner, Albion, Lynn--all this suggests something, but darned if I can figure out what. Incidentally, because of my grandfather's late marriage, you and I look to be one generation apart, and, my guess is, about ten years, I being older. I am flirting with the idea of visiting Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn. What can you advise me about that? Will Notify Administrator about this message?
