Hi Vickey.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I found Robert Maskell/Maskill on the 1881 census for Yorkshire. Robert was living with his adopted family with his sister Clara. The family was headed by Charles and his wife Rosina Smith. I had found Robert's true family on the IGI and his parents were Thompson and Sophia Maskell. Sophia nee Richmond died in 1873 and Thompson died in 1881.
Its Thompson Maskell's linage l had traced to Thomas Maskill who was born in 1725. Thompson Maskill was born in 1836 in Hook, Yorkshire and his parents were John Maskell and Rachel Thompson. I am hoping Robert is the one l have dying here in 1911. Will supply you with more info if you wish.

Ernest Attard.
