My father was a first generation american. His name was Anthony Masi .His father was Nunzio Masi, who came from Siano near Salerno Italy. He married Concetta Sola. My grandfather Nunzio had 2 brothers,John, who came to Pittsburgh Pa. with Nunzio and Anthony who was a teacher and lawyer, who remained in Italy(perhaps Naples). Anthony Masi died in approx.1928. Prior to his death,he was the financial advisor for Benito Mussolini. Although his obituary is in the Boston Globe, we can find very little information. My grandfather Nunzio Masi owned the Masi Brothers Construction Co. In Pittsburgh. He died at 51 years of age and his son(my uncle) John Masi carried it on until after WW2. There are no male survivors of this branch of the Masi family in America. My father Anthony had 4 daughters and my Uncle John had no children. There are however 7 grandchildren to Anthony Masi, including 5 grandsons. I know many names in this family and if it would suit your research,I would love to communicate with you.My son just returned from spending the summer in Italy and visited the village of Siano. He spoke to many relatives. One of our cousins,Mario Masi was a former President of the Bank Of Naples. Another cousin, Angelo Aliberti is now the President of the Salerno office of that bank.If we have any family in common I would be delighted to communicate.Sincerely, Justine Masi Alessi.
