I sttrongly suspect that your line descends from the family of Elisha J. Mashburn 1815-ca. 1900 and his wife Sarah Ann Welborn.

Elsiha J. was the son of Elisha Mashburn Sr of Burke Co NC and Forsyth Co GA. He later moved to Atlanta where he was active in the construction business before the war. His eldest son Arron served in the Confedrate Army and later moved to the Arkansas area.
