Funny you should ask; I was just working on this family last night. Gilbert David was born around 1859 in Franklin, NC and married Mary Stiles on December 29,1881. He was 22 and she was 18. They had several children:
Andrew J. 1883
Kansas S. 1884
Robert E. 1888
Lawrence 1890
Benjamin H. 1892, he was killed in World War I in 1917
His grandchildren live near me
Hattie M. 1895
Hester M. 1897
Delsey E. 1899
He married Buena Stiles in 1902. He was 41, she was 24. They had Commodore 1903 and Freddie 1904. In 1905, he married Belle Bishop. He was 46 and I don't know how old she was. They had Lanette 1908 and Buster 1911. On June 30, 1918, he married Tina Ramey, he was 58, she was 34. They had no kids. Gilbert died in 1922.
His father was William F."Captain Billy" Mashburn and his mother was Rachel Guffey. They were married on April 20, 1839. They had a bunch of kids as well. Billy was born in 1818 and Rachel was born 1825. They had kids staring in 1840 all the way to 1867 if I got them all. I am just starting to put the Mashburns together so I have a lot of information only it's a little disorganized at the moment. Greg Mashburn from Warner Robins,GA and his brother had a Mashburn website a couple of years ago and had a lot of information in it. I just don't know if it is still in operation. It was mashburn.home.avana.net. Captain Billy was a brother to my 2nd great grandfather. My great grandmother was Valentine Mashburn. Hope this helps. If you need more, email me and I will try to put together what you need. Another thing is if you can get or have a subscription to ancestry.com, there are several trees in Billy's name.
