The information from the obit is what I know. Jack's father was another John Petray from NW Arkansas who served in a federal outfit during the Civil War and drew a federal pension. The Mash family moved from Shannon Co., Missouri to Holdenville, Hughes County, OK, returned to Missouri before finally settling in the old Chickasaw Nation, present day Carter County, Oklahoma.
